Quercus Sport Scholarships are available from the University College Cork to deserving candidates. These prizes were created for the 2023–2024 academic year.
For this scholarship program, undergraduate students who exhibit a very high level of excellence in their chosen sport are the best candidates. To be eligible for this prize, the applicants must have received and accepted an offer of admission to UCC.
The National University of Ireland is University College Cork. It is based in Cork and was established in 1845. One of the three Queen’s Colleges, the other two being in Belfast, Cork, and Galway. The university is currently rated 303rd in the QS World University Rankings 2023. It is the first five-star university in Ireland.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be eligible for Quercus Sport Scholarships, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
- The applicants must participate in a sport recognized by Sport Ireland.
- The applicants must be able to provide evidence that they are competing at the highest available level in their chosen sport and have the identifiable potential for further improvement.
- The candidates will be expected to act as ambassadors for UCC and the Quercus Talented Students’ Program in terms of their participation in their chosen sport.
- The applicants must have accepted an offer of a place at University College Cork through the CAO or the International Office.
Eligible Countries: Irish and overseas students can both apply.
Eligible Course or Subjects: Undergraduate programs offered at the University College Cork can be applied for.
